Position Summary
This position is for a highly organized and process driven IT Inventory Control Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of company and client IT assets. This is a fully onsite role based in our Omaha facility. Daily physical presence is required due to the hands-on nature of inventory control, device imaging, kit building, and shipping and receiving responsibilities.
This position plays a critical operational role in ensuring asset accuracy, supporting client deployments, maintaining compliance with ISO 27001 standards, and driving structured inventory control across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, technically capable, and able to operate independently with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management and Asset Control
- Participate in the development and communication of the strategy for CX modernization, aligned with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to secure buy-in, support, and resources for CX modernization initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for enhancing the customer experience.
- Maintain accurate and current inventory of IT assets including laptops, PCs, monitors, peripherals, and client repair parts
- Track the complete asset lifecycle from receipt through deployment, return, repair, redeployment, and disposal
- Perform routine inventory cycle counts and participate in year-end physical inventory counts
- Reconcile physical inventory against system records and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare detailed inventory and asset reporting for internal stakeholders
- Document inventory control procedures and continuously improve best practices
- Imaging and Equipment Preparation
- Image and configure laptops and PCs following standardized operating procedures
- Assist with software deployment and installation as required
- Build complete user equipment kits including monitors, keyboards, mice, cameras, headsets, and related peripherals
- Conduct quality control checks prior to shipment or deployment
- Ensure equipment is properly packed, labeled, documented, and deployment ready
- Maintain imaging stations and deployment work areas in organized condition
- Shipping, Receiving, and Logistics
- Manage all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving functions
- Pull client repair parts and prepare outbound shipments accurately
- Generate tracking information and provide return labels for equipment returns
- Coordinate equipment returns, warranty repairs, RMA processing, and secure disposal
- Handle shipments via UPS, FedEx, and LTL freight carriers
- Ensure secure packaging, accurate documentation, and shipment compliance
- Maintain organized storage and staging areas within the warehouse and lab environment
- Compliance and Documentation
- Follow ISO 27001 policies and procedures related to asset management and information security
- Maintain accurate documentation for all asset transactions
- Ensure secure handling, storage, and tracking of company and client equipment
- Support audit readiness through proper documentation and reporting
- Collaboration and Planning
- Work closely with IT staff to support upcoming deployments and hardware purchases
- Assist with forecasting inventory needs based on project schedules
- Communicate inventory levels, shortages, risks, and operational concerns proactively
- Provide tracking information and coordinate timely returns of client equipment
- Other Responsibilities
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership to support company operations
- Provide cross functional support across IT, warehouse, operations, and administrative functions as business needs require
- Assist with special projects, operational initiatives, compliance efforts, and facility related tasks
- Support evolving business priorities and operational requirements as directed
Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of inventory management experience, preferably in an IT or warehouse environment
- Experience performing inventory cycle counts and year-end inventory counts
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience shipping via UPS, FedEx, and coordinating LTL freight shipments
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment as required
- Ability to work independently with limited direction or oversight
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP or inventory management systems
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards
- Experience with imaging tools and deployment systems
- Experience in structured warehouse or IT operations environments

Physical Requirements:
