Position Summary
Our customer seeks to add a Dedicated Onsite Engineer with extensive experience of deploying and maintaining Audiocodes SBCs with SIP trunking as they migrate to a Microsoft Teams for their enterprise telephony platform. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities to deliver high-quality services and maintain client satisfaction. Waterfield will provide this resource in a staff augmentation model in addition to other project and support services under contract, the role will report to customer locations daily and become an extended member of the customer’s telephony staff receiving daily direction and work responsibility from customer leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- This position is 100% onsite for our client in and around Newark, NJ. Provide daily support and maintenance on the Audiocodes SBCs and SIP trunking related to their MS Teams environment.
- Audiocodes experience and certifications are required, with a preference to MS Teams experience as well.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to phones, trunking (SIP), call routing and system configurations.
- Perform routine maintenance, software updates, patches, and backups.
- Serve as the point of contact for all Audiocodes-related issues; interface with vendors, carriers, and support teams as needed.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues or outages.
- Maintain documentation of all system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices related to telecom systems.
- Assist with project deployments, migrations, and integrations with third-party tools.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Audiocodes SBCs with SIP trunking.
- Familiarity with VoIP and MS Teams.
- Ability to read and interpret SIP traces and troubleshoot SIP carrier issues and modifications.
- Excellent communication skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting: Ability to be able to sit for long periods of time.
- Lifting: Ability to lift equipment and or tools up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity: Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform tasks such as assembling or disassembling machinery or devices.
