Senior Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex financial tasks. As a Senior Accountant, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide guidance to junior staff, and contribute to the overall financial strategy of the organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis: 

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards. 
  • Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide insights and recommendations to management for effective decision-making. 
  • Collaborate with management to create comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and forecasts. 

General Ledger Management: 

  • Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions. 
  • Perform reconciliations of complex accounts, including bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and various accruals. 
  • Review journal entries and adjustments, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards. 

 Budgeting and Forecasting: 

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to gather necessary information. 
  • Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures, identifying discrepancies and providing insightful explanations.
